This beautiful solid silver trench watch was the subject of one of my popular restoration videos. As shown in this film the watch was completely restored and now operates as intended when it was first created over a century ago. Cosmeticaly the watch shows its age with several dents in the silver case as is common with historical pieces that were used in a harsh environment by men and women of action.
Price: £535 + £10 Postage and Packaging
The watch has an original enamel dial (hairline crack from 8 o’clock to the hand stack). The movement is by Adolf Schild, of high quality and equipped with 15 jewels. It is not immaculate but rather shows some cosmetic damage commensurate with a watch of this age that has been serviced many times.
Specifications are:
Diameter: 31.6mm (excluding crown) 34mm including crown
Movement: 15 Jewels, 18,000 bph by Adolf Schild
Case: Solid Sterling Silver with Fixed Silver Strap Bars (ie. No Removable Spring Bars)
The watch comes on a brand new special opened ended leather strap that is of the type worn at the period this watch was made as it allows for the strap to be fastened to the solid silver fixed bars. It is also fitted with my favourite type of deployment clasp. These clasps are great as they make the strap very easy to adjust to the correct wrist size and the watch is very easy to put on and take off quickly .
The watch comes with a One Year Warranty and is presented in a very attractive wooden box
